Attendance
Consistent attendance is key to musical
success. If you child will be absent, please notify us
as soon as possible. Please do not bring your child to
class if they are ill. Missed lessons/assignments can be
emailed to you if you wish. No refunds will be given
for missed lessons.
The
Role of the Parent in Music Study
Although it is not necessary for you to be present at
each weeks lesson you are an important part of the
learning process at home. Parents must supervise
practice and read directions to the student. If you are
a musician this will be second nature, if you are not ,
you too will enjoy learning to play piano with your
child. Most important HAVE FUN !!!!! Praise your child
each and every time he/she sits at the piano.
Expectations for practice.
Practice should be fun and at
the willingness of your child. Positive encouragement
should be given each time they sit at the keyboard. A practice ‘habit’ is the aim rather than a rigorous
daily 10 minute session .
Cancellation policy
Missed
assignments will be emailed to students. Make-ups are
not available at this time.
Teacher conferences.
I am
available to discuss any concerns /feedback regarding
your child’s progress via email or if you prefer ‘ in
person’
